I like making lists. Some are just lists for list’s sake, but others are full of goals or ideas that I really want to see through. Hiking Mount Willard – Crawford Notch State Park, NH

I’m still on a bit of a high from my recent trip to New Hampshire.  The highlight of the trip for me was hiking to the summit of Mt. Willard.  It’s not the tallest mountain in the Whites, and it’s not even one of the coveted 4,000 footers, but Willard is by far the best bang for your buck hike I’ve done in years. Continue reading

Norvin Green State Forest: Otter Hole to Carris Hill Hike

I was pumped. The Otter Hole to Carris Hill loop was one of my favorite hikes from last summer, and despite the blistering heat, I was excited for the challenges ahead! The 4 mile hike takes you past creeks, rock slab summits, waterfalls, rock scrambles, and dense forest. The difficulty and beauty of the Norvin Green State Forrest captured a piece of my heart last summer, which is why I couldn’t wait to get back here. Continue reading
