It was teased many months ago that the current JK Wrangler and the forthcoming JL Wrangler would in fact overlap both as 2018 model year vehicles; that has now been confirmed with the spec announcement for the 2018 JK Wrangler. Since the JL is set to debut this November as a 4 door only my guess is that the 2 door and 4 door JK will continue to be produced into 2018 until the JL plant is completely up and opperational. At that point, the capacity still making JKs will switch over to start making the JT Scrambler pickup for the 2019 model year. Continue reading
I’ve come to like the color match hardtops on Wranglers over the last few years; however, some colors look much better than others. Gobi is one of those colors that looks great with the painted top!
After much searching, I finally spotted this 4 door Sport model over the weekend. Hyper Green reminds me of a muted Gecko with more of a yellow element to it – I dig it, but still like Tank the most among the three available greens right now. Continue reading
The color match top on the 75th Anniversary Edition Wrangler looks great in Mojave Sand! I think the bronze accents and bumpers look best with this color than the others I’ve seen. Continue reading
I’m still waiting for Hyper Green to make an appearance on dealer lots, until then we’ve got two greens; the remaining Tank Green models, and Sarge Green which is exclusive to the 75th Anniversary Edition. Continue reading
Since its introduction, the four door Wrangler Unlimited has become the first thing people think of when they hear: “Wrangler.” The two door is almost an afterthought despite being the closest descendant to the original Willys Jeep. Continue reading
The combination of the purple paint and graphic package gives the Backcountry edition Wrangler an awesomely awful 90’s ski suite vibe. Continue reading
I’m a sucker for a nice orange Jeep. Mango Tango is still the best Orange (in my opinion) of recent years, but Sunset Orange is certainly a color I would order a JK in, if I were ordering a JK. The best way to describe the new orange is to imagine if Crush and Rock Lobster had a baby. Sunset is well named for the hue; with a nice mixture of red and orange, while remaining dominantly orange. I was actually really surprised when I turned the corner and saw it – I wasn’t expecting it to look anything like this. The Copper Brown Wrangler has almost a bronze look to it, and was not as dark as I had anticipated. It wouldn’t be my first choice color, but I’m sure some people will like it. Continue reading
After seeing some pictures on Twitter of what I thought was a re-up of the Arctic Edition Wrangler, I spotted what we now know is an X package for the Sahara Trim level.
