I promise this will be the last Crush Orange Wrangler post – I just love this orange so much and know that a lot of you are having a hard time finding them. As with all of the pictures I’ve taken, the color seems a little lighter than it actually is. The grille shot with the Crush parked next to the Dozer shows a good comparison of the two. enjoy!
Crush Orange Jeep Wrangler JK – second sighting
I spotted another crush orange JK Wrangler yesterday. It is so hard to capture the awesomeness of this color in a photo. Rest assured – Crush is extremely orange :) This one was a nicely equipped Sport with the 6-spd manual :)
Arctic Wrangler and Liberty: they’re coooooming to America
When images of Jeep’s 2012 Arctic Wrangler edition surfaced a few weeks ago, there was only mention of outside US availability. Contrary to that thought; Arctics have already hit dealer lots, even though Jeep only officially ‘revealed’ the new special edition vehicles this week at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Crush Orange and Arctic JK Jeep Wranglers spotted
I pass a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Fiat dealer on my way to work every morning – and for the last few weeks I’ve been checking the lot for a Crush Orange JK Wrangler while sitting in traffic. I thought I spotted one in the lot a few days ago, but it was gone by the time I passed on my way home. I stopped in Friday night, and to my surprise, they had moved the beautiful beast inside.
Jeep Wrangler Call of Duty Special Edition Re-Enlists for 2012
Less than two days after posting here that Jeep had yet to confirm if the Call of Duty or Mojave special editions would continue for 2012; Jeep released information confirming a 2012 Call of Duty: MW3 Special Edition Wrangler. It is still unknown if Jeep will be sending me a 2012 Crush Orange Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with a black hard top, 6 speed manual trans, leather, and all the geeky navigation and phone connectivity do-dads for a long term (permanent) performance evaluation. (I’ll wait for them to call me over the weekend, to discuss delivery.)
the world’s best offroader, gets better for 2012
With the addition of bold new colors, a few new options, and (most importantly) the new 3.6L pentastar-heart; Jeep pours some much needed life back into their icon for 2012.
iPhone accessories that saved our relationship
My iPhone 3GS and I have been pretty good friends for the last two years, mostly thanks to two hardware accessories that help us get along during different types of adventures; from hiking in the Andes, to my everyday commute to work. Specifically, I’m referring to the OtterBox Defender Case, and the ProClip USA mount system.
Is the Compass really a Jeep, thing?
When Jeep introduced the Compass for the 2007 model year; I instantly thought (and still think) that it was one of the best names ever given to a vehicle with adventurous aspirations – something Jeep vehicles have always represented. However; the Compass didn’t quite live up to its Jeep heritage, or its own name for that matter. When Jeep announced that Compass would receive an update for 2011; I wasn’t expecting more than a minor appearance refresh. I simply didn’t think that Chrysler would invest a lot of money, time, and energy to significantly update a vehicle that they have already announced will be replaced in a few short years. I was wrong about that, and thankfully so.
Alaskan Initiation
I always liked the idea of traveling the world…
but never had the motivation to really look into how a person would go about doing such a thing. It seemed cool to say: I’d like to backpack through a foreign country – yet I hadn’t bought a pack, or even as much as a travel guide. The opportunity to visit Alaska fell in my lap; and without any research, or much planning – I opened a new chapter in my life, and was bitten by the proverbial ‘travel bug.’
jeep comm center
One of the first modifications I made to the TJ was the addition of a CB radio. I wanted to take her off road, and my Jeepin’ buddies suggested that I get one so we could all stay in contact on the trail.
