As the last few body on frame SUVs hold on for dear life, we must embrace the fact that we’re going to need different ways of classifying utility vehicles – the lines between SUVs, crossovers, wagons, hatchbacks and even vans have forever been blurred.

Anything and everything to do with the automotive industry. I mainly focus on Jeeps and other four wheel drive vehicles, but you’ll see the occasional two wheel drive article here and there.
Sierra Blue Jeep Renegade sighting!
I’m digging the blue renegade – just wish it was a trail hawk. Sierra Blue is very similar to Wrangler’s Hydro Blue in person. Continue reading
2017 Volkeswagen GolfWagen AllTrack – you had me at locking differentials
Yes, a station wagon with locking differentials! We’re not talking about selectable Wrangler Rubicon style lockers – but electronic lockers that activate while in off-road mode is pretty badass for a station wagon. This once-for-Europe-only adventure wagon has some serious back country gear haulin’ potential – and it’s heading to the US. Continue reading
2015 Jeep Renegade – Omaha Orange spotted!
I’m a sucker for cool colored Jeeps – and I’m glad that the rainbow of colors is something that carried over into this vehicle that was ‘inspired by the Wrangler.’ I’ve been Renegade hunting for a week now since hearing that they started to hit dealers. Here is a nice Trailhawk in Omaha Orange. Continue reading
Dear Jeep, please build the Chief and take my money!
It’s been two years since the Jeep design team gave us the last pair of true concept vehicles for the Easter Jeep Safari – read about my thoughts on the J12 and Mighty FC. Last year’s lifted KL Cherokee Trailhawk was cool, but I’ve been yearning for an off the wall amazing vehicle like this year’s Chief concept. Continue reading
2015 Easter Jeep Safari Teasers
Every year the Jeep brand creates a group of heavily modified and fabricated custom vehicles for the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, UT.
Train Rated Jeeps
I don’t have any official statistics to back my claim – but I’m pretty confident in saying that the Jeep Wranger has one of the biggest aftermarkets, and is one of the most modified vehicles of recent decades. We see a lot of cookie cutter Jeeps, all lifted the same way, with fancy wheels, and knobby tires that most likely never see mud – but every once in a while you see a gem. A completely crazy, off-the-wall, I-can’t-believe-that’s-a-Jeep Jeep. Continue reading
Firecracker Wrangler: legal in all 50 states
I spent a good part of the weekend going through thousands of pictures, and hours upon hours of video in an attempt to clean up and reorganize my laptop and hard drives. I was successful, but also realized that I never posted the pictures of the Firecracker Red JKs I’ve spotted over the last few months. I found two unlimited Sports, and a 2 door Willys – still huniting for a color match top. Continue reading
Ram Rebel is not a Raptor replica
It’d be pretty easy to conjure up a list of reasons why the new Ram 1500 Rebel is a Ford F-150 Raptor “wannabe.” Yes, they are both “Factory Modified Off-Road” versions of the respective company’s half ton offerings; but each carry their own benefits for different types of customers. Plus, if the Rebel really wanted to be just like the Raptor, there wouldn’t be a V8 option. Continue reading
Moparized Renegades heading to Detroit
FCA US LLC (as they are now officially known) released images of two modified Jeep Renegades ahead of their Detroit reveals this week. The two Jeeps are a bit heavy on the decals, but the modified Trailhawk shows some promise for the future of the little Jeep. Continue reading
