My brother in law texted me a few weeks ago to see if I was free to go for a hike last Sunday. Chris normally works 7 days a week, so I jumped at the chance for some bro-bonding in the woods, as well as, some company on hike eight of my 52 Hike Challenge!
We decided to really take advantage of Chris’s rare day off and complete a long section of the Appalachian Trail in NJ. After dropping one car at the AMC Mohican Outdoor Center, we drove down to the Kittatinny Point Visitor’s Center and were on the trail by 9:30am.

Completing this first section of the AT has inspired me to try and complete the entire New Jersey section before my 52 Hike Challenge is complete! (Because I need another goal like I need a hole in my socks.)
That’s a great goal! Have you looked into the NJ1K club? I think I’m adding that to my list of goals :)
I did see that once! Need to go find that site again that lists them :)
