Jeep Comanche Concept: it’s what’s on the inside that counts
Let me get this out of the way, and just say that the Renegade looks funny with a pickup bed. It might actually be the rag top/pickup combo that’s throwing me off, but in any regard, it’s weird. Looking at what Mark Allen and the Mopar team used to build this little trucklette can probably tell us a lot more about future Jeep design than the exterior appearance can. So let’s focus on that. Ram Rebel is not a Raptor replica
It’d be pretty easy to conjure up a list of reasons why the new Ram 1500 Rebel is a Ford F-150 Raptor “wannabe.” Yes, they are both “Factory Modified Off-Road” versions of the respective company’s half ton offerings; but each carry their own benefits for different types of customers. Plus, if the Rebel really wanted to be just like the Raptor, there wouldn’t be a V8 option. Continue reading

Brand Loyalty and my 2012 Jeep Patriot
It’s hard to deny that I am a devoted Jeep enthusiast. I drove my 1997 Wrangler every day for almost 5 years before purchasing a 2012 Jeep Patriot (4X4, 5 speed) in February of 2012, to take over daily driving duties. Overall I’ve been pretty satisfied with the Patriot; it’s a comfortable, capable, daily driver. It’s performed well in winter weather, and light off road situations. Despite being the opposite of the “get new people interested in the brand” target buyer – it fits my needs perfectly. Now a year into ownership, I figured it was time for a recap.
