A few years ago I lived in an attic apartment in  Montclair, NJ. I loved being within walking distance to many awesome bars, restaurants, and the music venues – but I was also a quick 5 minutes drive from Eagle Rock Reservation. I decided to head back to my old stomping grounds for hike 42!Hike 42 stats:

Highlights: September 11th memorial, stone bridge

I started my hike by stopping at the September 11th memorial site. Many people gathered at the park on that dreadful day due to the unobstructed views of the New York City skyline. Visiting here is a reminder of how lucky we are for each day we get on this beautiful planet! I then headed down the road to start my hike along the blue trail.The trails are really well marked in the park, and is certainly worth checking out if you’re in the area.
