When you voluntarily do laundry, because your only pair of Darn Tough Crew Hikers are dirty; you know you’ve found a great pair of socks. Continue reading
Jeep “Short Cut” Concept is basically a JK-5
Since its introduction, the four door Wrangler Unlimited has become the first thing people think of when they hear: “Wrangler.” The two door is almost an afterthought despite being the closest descendant to the original Willys Jeep. Continue reading
Jeep Comanche Concept: it’s what’s on the inside that counts
Let me get this out of the way, and just say that the Renegade looks funny with a pickup bed. It might actually be the rag top/pickup combo that’s throwing me off, but in any regard, it’s weird. Looking at what Mark Allen and the Mopar team used to build this little trucklette can probably tell us a lot more about future Jeep design than the exterior appearance can. So let’s focus on that. Hike 09: Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park
About five years ago I tweaked my sciatic nerve in my back while mountain biking. Every now and then I’ll turn a weird way and be out of commission for a few days. I’m usually very careful while hiking and typically re-injur myself doing day to day tasks; like washing dishes, which is what caused the flare up last Friday night. Continue reading
Is Jeep’s Crew Chief Concept a sign of future Jeep Truck design?
There is a part of me that is holding onto a little glimpse of hope that the next generation Wrangler, and more importantly, the new Jeep Truck will use the J-truck/SJ style hood that we’ve been seeing for years on concept vehicles. Continue reading

Hike 08: Appalachian Trail – Delaware Water Gap to AMC Mohican Outdoor Center
My brother in law texted me a few weeks ago to see if I was free to go for a hike last Sunday. Chris normally works 7 days a week, so I jumped at the chance for some bro-bonding in the woods, as well as, some company on hike eight of my 52 Hike Challenge! Continue reading
2016 Jeep Patriot Sport SE includes heated seats (A/C extra)
The Jeep Patriot is a trendy hit song that the band never wants to play, but is more than happy to continue accepting royalty checks for. The media loves to bash it; yet consumers continue to buy it. Continue reading
Hike 07: Appalachian Trail, Mount Minsi Summit
I’ve seen Mount Minsi many times while hiking to the summit of Mount Tammany on the NJ side of the Delaware Water Gap, but had never explored the other side of the border. I decided to summit Mount Minsi via the Appalachian Trail for hike seven of my 52 hike Challenge. It was barely 10° outside when I parked in the Lake Lenape parking lot. It was about 10am, and I had the lot to myself. As it turned out, I would have the trail to myself as well. Continue reading
Holy Kahtoola! A MICROspike Review
It only took three and a half miles in my new MICROspikes to become completely transformed into a mountain goat! Seriously, I felt like some kind of super hero with these things on my feet. Continue reading
