Mojo and I headed up to Black River Park to check out Cooper Mill for hike 29 of my 52 Hike Challenge! I first spotted the mill on my way home from Hacklebarney State Park and was excited to finally get back to check it out.Hike 29 stats:
Date: August 7, 2016
Weather: 80°F, sunny
Distance: 4.43 miles
Time: 1:43
Total Ascent: 381′
Highest Elevation: 819′
Highlights: Black river, Cooper MillWe parked in the lot on W. Main St. near Cooper Mill and hit the Black River Trail. The mill was really cool, and Mojo was excited to see water – as he always is.
Mojo and I hiked up toward the Kay Environmental Center where we took a water break, and a loop around one of the meadows before following the trail back toward the mill.
The trail along the river was great, but the mill was the highlight of the hike – that and when Mojo decided to jump in the water to wash the mud off of his paws.
