After seeing some pictures on Twitter of what I thought was a re-up of the Arctic Edition Wrangler, I spotted what we now know is an X package for the Sahara Trim level.
From what I can see the package takes some interior queues from the Arctic, but replaces the Yetis with mountain graphics on the seats and grab bar. White trim remains on the steering wheel and vents as well.
The package also replaces the Sahara wheels with black 17 inch alloys, rock sliders and the Power Dome hood (previously only available on the Rubicon 10th anniversary, Rubicon X, or Rubicon Hard Rock editions.)
The Sahara X package also includes black grille inserts; I’ve only seen them in black so far, so I’m not sure if these are always black or always body colored.
I’ll keep an eye out for more of these – let me know what you think in the comments!

This is the first I’ve heard of a Sahara X package. It looks like an update to the Polar Edition.
It does – I like the new graphics, but not a huge fan of the white on the steering wheel
Agreed. I’ve not been a fan of the white trim. The effect is nice if you’re matching the exterior color, but the way Arctic was done, you could have a Jeep that’s blue, black or silver outside and white inside. It just doesn’t work.
